On May 8th 1957 the application for Certificate of Organization was signed at a meeting of women at St. Jerome’s Parish in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario in the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, held with the approval of the Director on May 4th 1957, at 8 o’clock under the chairmanship of Mrs. J.J. McMahan, it was moved by Mrs. Margaret. Hutchinson, and seconded by Mrs. Blanche Wilson, that we, the undersigned women at St. Jerome’s do herby agree to form a Subdivision of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada to be known as the St. Jerome’s subdivision, to pay the National membership fee, and to apply for certificate of organization.
Our membership currently is 90, our council meets the first Sunday of the month from September to June, in Room #2 at 12:00 pm. We begin with an opening prayer a short meeting and usually a guest speaker, followed by a social. Members are encouraged to attend and bring a friend.
